We are currently scheduling appointments for both forms of the flu vaccine, for all kids 6 months and older! This year, all flu clinic appointments will need to be scheduled through MyChart! Flu vaccine will also be available at well visits (as supply allows) for children and their siblings.

The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine booster is now authorized and recommended for adolescents aged 16 and 17, as long as they had their second dose of the vaccine at least 6 months ago. More information will be available on CDC’s website soon. Appointments are available through MyChart!
The CDC has approved emergency use authorization of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for kids 5- to 11-years-old. We have reviewed the research and we recommend that all eligible children get this highly effective, highly safe vaccine.
At this time, we have COVID-19 vaccine for 5-11 year olds and those 12 and older, and have COVID vaccine clinic appointments, available now for scheduling through MyChart. We will also be vaccinating all eligible children ages 5 years and older at well visits. Thank you for your patience. All appointments will be scheduled through MyChart.
Lurie Children’s is offering the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to all individuals ages 5 and older. Appointments can be made through MyChart, by calling the Lurie COVID Call Center at 312-227-7300 or by visiting www.luriechildrens.org/vaccine to schedule an appointment. You may choose to get the vaccine for your child elsewhere, if it is more convenient. Swedish Covenant Hospital sometimes takes walk-ins, Walgreens plans to carry the new vaccine. Some CVS locations will also be giving the vaccine. For other locations near you, you can check vaccines.gov or text your zip code to getvax.
