Chicago Department of Public Health Commissioner Allison Arwady, M.D., issued an Emergency Travel Order directing travelers entering or returning to Chicago from states experiencing a surge in new COVID-19 cases to quarantine for a 14-day period from the time of last contact within the identified state. The Order will go into effect on Monday July 6, 2020, at 12:01am. We realize this means some of you will need to reschedule your well visits. We want to assure you that we will reschedule your appointment for a time after your quarantine, when it is safer for you to come in.
Like the city of Chicago, we have put many measures in place to be as safe as possible for everyone who needs to come in to our office, and we want to reassure you that we are making every effort to continue to be a safe place. If you have traveled to one of these states (or plan to) and you have an upcoming appointment, please call us at 773-880-1738, so that we can find another time for you to come in. We will also be asking about travel when we call a few days before your appointment to screen for symptoms and exposure. Please let us know if you have any concerns or questions.
